• Pensicola Pelican Drop

For a unique take on the traditional New Year’s Eve ball drop, head to Downtown Pensicola for this annual lighting of the 14-foot pelican. Wrap up warm with the little ones in your family and get down to The Little Pelican Party taking place from 6pm and featuring a huge array of free activities including bounce houses, face painting, balloon artists, kids’ dance party, obstacle courses and much more besides! The party culminates in the raising of the giant pelican at 8pm. If you can make it till the clock strikes midnight, watch as the pelican descends again from the heights of the tower and take in a spectacular firework display over the main stage on Government Street.

• HarborWalk Village New Years Eve Street Party

Celebrate the New Year throughout HarborWalk Village with live music, fire spinning, and no fewer that two incredible firework displays to help welcome 2018 with a bang! During the evening’s festivities you can take in the live musical performances happening all around the HarborWalk Village restaurants, then head over to the main stage for more music from local bands Heritage at 7pm and January Noise at 9.30pm. Once midnight rolls around marvel at the impressive 10^th Annual Ball Drop descending over beautiful Destin Harbor.

• St Augustine Beach Blast Off

This free, family-friendly celebration is by far the most popular event in St Augustine to help see in the New Year, and it’s not hard to see why! Offering plenty of live music, over 30 food vendors, a beer, champagne and wine tent, photo booth, and carnival rides, the celebration kicks off at 6pm at St Augustine Beach Pier and features a spectacular fireworks display set to music at 8.30pm, after which the party will keep on going until 10pm. There is even a special Kids’ Zone which includes inflatables, face painting, and live entertainment to keep little ones happy!

• Celebrate Twice

Why welcome in the New Year just once when you can get double the celebration at this truly unique event! Head down to Port St. Joe to watch the stunning firework display in the Eastern Time Zone, then travel 5 minutes across to Mexico Beach where you can do it all again an hour later in the Central Time Zone! As well as incredible fireworks displays and free trolley shuttle between the two locations, the event features a specially designed Scavenger Hunt which involves visiting local businesses along the way to pick up party favors to help you see in 2018 twice! Collect all the favors and get your card stamped at each location to be in with a chance of winning a gift basket with incredible adventure prizes.

• Wonderland of Lights

Visitors are invited to drive through the dazzling display of festive lights and spectacular holiday scenes on offer down at Pensacola Interstate Fairgrounds, but the fun doesn’t stop once you’ve taken in the lights – head down to Santa’s Village where there’s even more festive merriment to be found! Kids can get photos taken and share their wish list with Santa himself, ride ponies and camels, leave their festive artwork on the giant Christmas mural, and there is fun to be had for all as you walk around the Holiday Market offering a variety of food, drinks, and the perfect last-minute holiday gifts. The Wonderland of Lights is open daily from 6pm up until December 30.

• Winterfest Pensacola

This winter spectacular is a true Pensacola tradition, where the streets of Downtown are transformed with thousands of twinkling lights and holiday-themed events. Take a tour around on the Polar Express Trolley and choose from one of the many themed evenings featuring visits from your favourite Christmas characters and scenes from beloved holiday movie classics. Performance Tours feature live action out on the street and in the trolleys themselves, including a Living Nativity, The Polar Express, and The Grinch. There are also Reindeer Games, visits with Santa, and a free plaza show on offer every night. Winterfest runs at select dates and times until December 24.

• Gulf Breeze Zoo Lights

Thousands of sparkling lights illuminate the Gulf Breeze Zoo throughout the month of December, allowing visitors to stroll through the beautiful displays at their own leisure and enjoy the magic of the zoo at night. There will be various events to enjoy on select evenings, including live ice sculpting demonstrations, a cappella performances of Christmas classics, and the chance to meet Santa along with some of his very special animal friends! The Zoo Lights run from December 15 through December 30, nightly from 5pm to 9pm.

• Sowell’s North Pole Christmas Lights Display

Every year the Sowell family put on an incredible holiday drive-through display at their farm in Milton, Florida. Featuring nearly half a million breath-taking lights and festive Christmas scenes set across 15-acres of land, kids can even take in the lights from a special train ride for an extra Christmassy treat. The lights are open nightly from 5.30pm to 9pm (including Christmas Eve and Christmas Day) up until December 27. Try to go on a weekday if you can to avoid the crowds – this event gets seriously popular at weekends!
